?? Sennior Staff Accountant - Temp to Hire
Location: Sacramento
Pay: $30-$38/hr (DOE)
Schedule: Full-time, Onsite/Hybrid (client-specific)
About the Opportunity:
Our client in the [industry-construction, manufacturing, real estate, etc.] is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their growing team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, multi-entity accounting, and taking ownership of month-end responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Assist with month-end close, including preparing journal entries, accruals, amortizations, and reconciliations
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations across multiple accounts
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
Support AP and AR as needed, including invoice coding, posting payments, and aging review
Prepare and analyze financial reports, supporting the Controller or Accounting Manager
Assist with job costing, project accounting, or inventory depending on the client
Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and GAAP standards
Support audits and provide documentation as needed
Partner with operations, project managers, and cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies
Qualifications:
3+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, SUMIFs)
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
Industry experience in construction, manufacturing, or real estate
Multi-entity accounting exposure
